The relationship traces back to an early Haxel employee, Lyle, who was a Loyola graduate. Through his strong personal connection to the university, Haxel became one of Loyola’s first major signage and banner partners.

Parts of the campus — especially near the athletic fields — sit high on a hill and are exposed to strong winds. For years, traditional vinyl banners were wearing down quickly, ripping and deteriorating under the constant wind pressure.
Rather than continuing to replace damaged materials, we worked with Loyola to rethink the approach entirely.
Last year, we transitioned from classic vinyl to mesh banner materials designed specifically for high-wind environments. Mesh allows wind to pass through, significantly reducing strain and extending the lifespan of each installation.
